This 2016 vintage is another outstanding Shiraz in the distinctive Canberra District style. The blend is 87% "Best's Block" clone from our West Block with 13% Grenache (also grown in the West Block). A vibrant, expressive nose promising white pepper and dark fruits, which are delivered on the palate with a generous intensity of fruit, with the Grenache providing a hint of red fruit to the mid-palate.
We think this wine is a great reflection of the unique terrain of our vineyard, our viticultural approach, and the blending opportunities available to us.
Drink to 2025. Winemaker: Alex McKay. 13.2% alc.
