A softly sparkling wine with green apple and spicy floral aromas which continue to a full, lengthy palate that adds a little slate and citrus.
Made from Savagnin grapes using the Petillant Naturel (Natural Sparkling) method, original grape juice was added back to the base wine for the secondary fermentation in bottle.
Unlike a methode traditionelle sparkling, we don't remove the sediment, and we don't add sugar.
It makes for a crisp, refreshing sparkling, and the soft sparkle, and lack of sugar allows the full delicious flavour profile of Savagnin to show through.
As for the name, our Savagin block comprises just 5 rows - 5 rows that make a beautiful wine!
