2009 Shiraz Trophy at SVA

The Quarry Hill shiraz was tasted for the trophy against the 10 shirazes that won gold medals, and ultimately against the runner-up, 2012 Montalto Pennon Hill Shiraz from the Mornington Peninsula writes Kirsten Lawson for the Canberra Times.

The Small Vignerons Awards is for wineries crushing less than 250 tonnes a year and boasts an impressive judging panel across the classes. The 2009 Shiraz has only been released for a few months, yet has already sold over half the vintage.
